Dr. Sarah Dew-Reeves is a native Floridian who grew up in the nation’s oldest city, St. Augustine, Florida. A St. Augustine High School graduate, she attended the University of Florida for undergraduate, majoring in Psychology. Given her strong interest in working with children and her dedication to helping others, she decided to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Dew-Reeves attended Vanderbilt University for her doctoral training, where her clinical training focused on children, adolescents and families dealing with mental health and/or physical health problems, and her research focused on understanding what contributes to successful therapy outcomes.

After completing her studies, she married her college sweetheart. They moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where she completed her pre-doctoral internship at Boston Children’s Hospital, part of Harvard University Medical School. While there, Dr. Dew-Reeves continued working with youth and families affected by general mental health concerns as well as acute and/or chronic physical health problems. After one Boston winter, Dr. Dew-Reeves gladly accepted a post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC) in Washington, DC. Upon gaining licensure, she stayed on as a staff psychologist at CNMC for over 4 years.

In 2013, Dr. Dew-Reeves and her husband embarked on a new adventure—parenthood. They moved back to Florida in 2014, to be closer to family. Dr. Dew-Reeves held a faculty position at University of Florida Health - Jacksonville for over 2 years. She and her husband currently live in St. Johns, Florida with their daughter, 3 cats and dog. She is a fan of college football, having attended 2 universities in the SEC. For fun, Dr. Dew-Reeves enjoys crafting, baking, traveling, spending time with family and, of course, spending time with her best friend, Dr. Bailey.
